Synthesis and structural characterisation of amides from picolinic acid and pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid
Coupling picolinic acid (pyridine-2-carboxylic acid) and pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid with N-alkylanilines affords a range of mono- and bis-amides in good to moderate yields. These amides are of interest for potential applications in catalysis, coordination chemistry and molecular devices. The reaction of picolinic acid with thionyl chloride to generate the acid chloride in situ leads not onl...
متن کاملBenzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid–N,N-dimethylacetamide (1/2)
The asymmetric unit of title compound, C(8)H(6)O(4)·2C(4)H(9)NO, contains one half-mol-ecule (an inversion centre in P21/n generates the other half of the molecule) of terephthalic acid (TA) and one mol-ecule of N,N-dimethyl-acetamide (DMAC). The DMAC mol-ecules are linked to TA by strong O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
متن کاملAscorbic Acid Dehydroascorbic Acid C6 Dicarboxylic Acid
Dehydroascorbic acid is shown to be converted to 2-(threo-l,2,3-trihydroxypropyl)tartronic acid in aqueous alkaline solutions. The structure of the acid was determined by mass spectrometry of its acyclic Me3Si derivative. Mass spectrometric and chromatographic data are compared with those of related compounds. The acid is formed by a benzilic acid rearrangement of the intermediate 2,3-hexodiulo...
متن کاملStability and hyperstability of orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-derivations and orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-homomorphisms on $C^*$-algebras
In this paper, we investigate the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias and the Isac and Rassias-type stability of the conditional of orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-derivation and orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-homomorphism on $C^*$-algebras. As a consequence of this, we prove the hyperstability of orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-derivation and orthogonally ring $*$-$n$-homomorphism on $C^*$-algebras.
متن کامل2,2′-Bipyridine-5,5′-dicarboxylic acid
The title mol-ecule, C(12)H(8)N(2)O(4), lies on an inversion center. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect mol-ecules into one-dimensional chains along [11].
